A big opportunity for startups in AI/ML // if you brave and fast enough
- There is currently a big opportunity for startups in AI/ML due to the rapid advances in large AI models. Startups can build useful products very quickly now.
- The pace of change in AI favors startups over big companies. Startups are faster and more adaptable.
- The author believes now is the best time ever to start an AI/ML startup. Their fund Conviction wants to help early-stage startups in this space.
- They are launching a program called Embed to provide startups with talent connections, customer introductions, advice, and compute resources.
- Good founders thrive when surrounded by other good founders. Embed aims to create a community of promising AI/ML founders who can help each other.
- The goal of Embed is to support the AI/ML startup ecosystem, even if Conviction doesn’t invest in all the companies. They want to back the most promising companies but also reach a broader set of founders.
Amazing job to all the #ConvictionEmbed teams at Demo Day! With Embed, we hoped to create a Schelling Point, a way for people who want to build products on the frontier of AI to find one another. CC: Pranav Reddy Mike Vernal
