the universe is not centralized

Social hierarchies, centralized institutions, “trusted” 3d parties form the backbone of almost all spheres of humanity. That’s definitely slows down the progress and evolution and finally (who knows) can be a reason of any future scenario (including dino-story).

Rome empire at the beginning was an example of great social innovation, everyone could do a contribution for an appropriate reward no matter of hierarchy. It was a game changing shift and the beginning of prosperity. But then emperors went in, hierarchies was fixed again. We know the end.

This pattern repeats over and over. This days, #bitcoin was a 1st publicly known network/protocol and organization without explicit hierarchy, moreover anyone can participate without any permission (permissionless).

brain also decentralized — same pattern as whole universe

Today many speakers say that decentralization is not so important, there are a lot of centralized corporations are built around decentralized protocols (remember emperors?). Exchanges, marketplaces, custodian wallets, etc.

Statement that #metaverse (immersive internet) proposed by big corps is for creators — simply dystopia.

Decentralization is very important than ever before for evolution and progress of information society. Can be centralized and decentralized orgs/services co-exist. For sure, but let’s do it right.

#web3: decentralized consensus networks (L1), peer-to-peer networks (L2/p2p)

Decentralized consensus networks at the core of #web3 (L1), any peer-to-peer networks at (L2/p2p). Centralized services can be integrated in L2/p2p with additional L1-dispute resolution mechanisms.
