Programming paradigms of metaverse can be similar and beyond, of course, old web tech. For example: Metaverse description language (MDL), metaverse objects specification (MOS), etc.
Decentralized metaverse should be entirely built on top of decentralized protocols and concepts without single point of power/failure.
