Digital gold // do we need it?

All the gold in the world, physical gold is really rare.

But physical gold and similar ancient assets are not usable for the modern digital world. Fiat money issued by local centralized authorities is also unreliable in a global and interconnected space.

Any attempt to create “decentralized”, “p2p”, or any other digital money is just yet another ponzi scheme. Creators and “early” adopters usually control majority of money in circulation. There are no actual decentralization”,”p2p”, “ownership”, etc. The old good physical gold in your pocket still works better than all this modern buggy crypto stuff.

Bill Gates says…’Greater Fool theory’

The problem is in the very concept of money. It was invented in ancient non digital times. This concept can be replaced by something native for the digital space. Yes, it’s a challenge, not yet another ponzi scheme design.

It shouldn’t be the exactly classical money (store of value, medium of exchange, unit of account). Something different, resistant to bugs/attacks, opportunities for everyone, not for a few.
