Every cryptonaut must know what is the difference between PoW/PoS. But it’s good for brain train but actual problem/goal is to force others to use and to value it. No difference with other money, any known money has no intrinsic value. Money is just numbers.
What about PoW, why it’s more protected?
It is hard to repeat the same number of blocks in the chain with the same computational complexity. Who can reproduce alternative bitcoin chain? You will need a huge amount of time, energy and a lot of special equipment. If PoS, anyone can reproduce own chain on a single computer. But again it’s useless if nobody value it.
Do we need digital form of money? Definitely.
If a new cryptonaut asks you about PoW/PoS, just point out if it makes sense if no one uses or values it. But for evolution we definitely need secure digital money.
