WTF? Web5 announced by @jack founder of Twitter, according to project site it’s about identity and personal data.
Yet another reinvention of wheel, identity for sure is a product, a brand, not a given name. Given names should be forgotten.
The simple identity solution is a self generated id = hash(public_key), there are some w3c standards: did (decentralized identity), vc (verifiable credentials). But that standards have no mass adoption.
Use of bitcoin for identity isn’t good idea, 1st bitcoin is an old tech with limits, 2nd bitcoin is centralized on a few mining pools.
